I was about to split the post in two, but who cares, really?
I made myself some demon twins for Malifaux; Lelu & Lilitu. Albeit with more fitting clothes, of course! Pardon for the variation in picture quality, I threw in a few WIP pictures. Sculpting hands is hard work!
And the WIP’s

We can’t stop here, this is trapper country!
Instead of having terrible angst over not publishing my articles, I shall instead just post the pictures of my finished models and not care too much about the words. Who’s reading anyways, when there’s pictures to look at.
Below are my 2 proxies for Freikorp Trappers, Malifaux game. They’re based off old Warzone models from the 90’s or early 2000. Love the looks of those old Bauhaus troopers so I did a gunswap and called it a day.

Tiny model-time. A Mysterious Effigy for my Neverborn, Malifaux again.
He has my eyes!
Lastly I attempted to sculpt Hoffmanns totem, The Mechanical Assistant. It was a mishmash of greenstuff and old bits I had lying around, and in the end it sadly ended up a bit too big, scale-wise. Anyways, it’s done and I don’t think he’ll see play anytime soon anyways!

You can hear the clatter of rain outside; it’s muffled as if run through a filter, but it’s still there. The room is empty save for an old, rusted ,steel-framed bed in one of the corners. There’s no sheets, just a mattress. It doesn’t feel that bad, despite its spartan look – at least it’s not the bare floor. If you had to describe your environment in one word, it would be “Grey”.
The sound of rain is gone now. You turn over in the bed and spot the television set in the middle of the room. The antenna hopelessly stretches up towards the ceiling like an old wizened willow. You wonder why it’s there since there’s nowhere to plug it in. You also wonder, briefly, why you don’t focus your attention on how it got there. The screen wakes up. First static, then slowly merging in a myriad of bright colors which fill the room with ghost-like multicolored rays penetrating the filtered Grey.
I wonder what’s on.

Backlog of models to blog about, unheard of!
For some reason, I felt like painting up a Malifaux Hunter, basically a robot cat with a harpoon for a tail (the things they dream up these days!). I have a Hoffman crew (posted somewhere on the blog) that I’ve had an itch to expand, so besides the Hunter I’m also underway with a Metal gamin and a scratch built mechanical attendant. We’ll see if they ever see game time, not a lot of that going on at the moment. On the other hand I’ve been painting a lot lately, so who cares, I’m just going to try and keep the motivation up.
Considering it was some 4 years since I painted the other robots there was some issues trying to make the hunter look the same, but I think I got it about right. Also, some sort of record – after undercoat I think I painted it in just under two hours! Yes, that’s my definition of speed painting at least.
That’s it for now; I’m blogging on my phone in the dark in my bed so not really optimal for pooping of words. So, good night and picture below!

I’m not even going to pretend that this project is going to end, I’m having way too much fun!
So far when I’ve brainstormed up models for my Dreamer crew I’ve mainly been going with “stuff that I can loosely fit/shoehorn in with the Nintendo theme”, and that’s what happened this time as well; namely Waldgeists. Apart from being pretty solid units, they have no particular synergy with Dreamer, game-wise, but who cares – they’re evil forest spirits, so obviously fit with hungry plants in pipes. Or something. It felt like a good idea at the time.
First up I scavenged some random material I had in mind – plastic pipes, wooden marbles and, of course, green stuff.
Next, I “draped” the marbles in green stuff to get the proper shapes for the “heads”. The marbles were later removed, once the green stuff had cured. Next I made leafs, stalks and teeth -basically everything that a Pirahna plant consists of.
For the sake of ease I painted the pipes separately. To spruce things up I added a mushroom but otherwise nothing fancy here.
The Pirahna plants themselves I added some nasty saliva but all-in-all it was a pretty straight forward paint job.
Finally, it was a terrible story about varnishing in too low a temperature, hence giving them both a horrible white frosting. It hurts too much to write of, but suffice to say I’ll never varnish spray in minus degrees again. So below is the re-painted version, painted with much angst and hopelessness. Enjoy.

Not even a witty title! This blog is truly starting to crumble.
Since Gothcon is coming up next weekend I’ve rushed out a (probably) last model before going to the Malifaux tournament; the Neverborn Doppelgänger.
The paint job was done to match my Lucius crew, so purple and I figured it would look nice to give her a porcelain mask/face to fit in.
In an effort to keep it short and to the point, here are the pictures.
And a bonus! A Synth briefcase jam, with random budget synths squeezed into a briefcase. Because I could.

Long time again, but that’s the way of the world! This time I’ve gone back to a project that just won’t die, the Nintendo-based Malifaux Neverborn Crew. It’s all fine with it not dying though, because I really enjoy it.
This time I made a proxy/replacement for Stitched Together. The Stitched together model is really just a sack with hooks, very much akin to Oogie boogie from Nightmare before Christmas, and I really couldn’t think of a unit from the Nintendoverse that fit that bill, so I had to go a bit outside the box.
Rule wise, a stitched together blows either itself of the opponent up, and emits creepy fog, so I decided to go with Bobomb from the Super Mario games. Plus, I found some cool inspiration for them, and wanted an excuse to use them.
The source of inspiration was mainly a picture drawn by Michael Puncekar, who has drawn all sorts of cool, nightmarish Nintendo-stuff. A more clockwork type of Bobomb as opposed to the classical bomb.
Classic Nintendo Bobomb and Michael Puncekar’s Bobomb
The models very made mainly by green stuff, apart from the scavenged feet from a Warhammer 40’000 Necron vehicle and some guitar wire for fuse. The model was pretty straight forward, just a round ball with some lines and holes (but I guess most models/drawings/masterworks are just some lines in the end anyways, right?).
Green spherical spheres.
Anyways, the next two models are already modeled and primed, so I honestly hope and think that it won’t be that long until next time!

Polar Bear-Teddy done for my Nintendo-based Malifaux Dreamer crew. The model is a slightly converted limited edition Malifaux Miss Ery/Teddy.
Teddy is based on the pink swim pants-wearing polar bear from Ice climbers. For those that are unaware of Ice climbers, it’s a Nintendo game where you climb… Ice. And it also features a polar bear. So there, reason enough!
Added sunglasses, swim pants and a torn poncho, so nothing extremely exotic, modeling wise. It was fun to sculpt a really tiny Nintendo console by his feet though!
Paint job was kept quick and dirty, since the amount of time I have available for painting is diminishingly small at the moment (as always?).
I know I said the Dreamario project was over, but who cares. Fun ideas warrants more models. Next up will probably be some Waldgeists.
Pulling it off with sexy pants
Guns don’t kill people, games do!

Realized I needed more than one insidiousl madness for Malifaux. Since they’re great and all.
So a week or so ago I went ahead and sculpted myself two more (you can have a maximum of three in a game).
Most stuff to mention is probably best read in the original post, but here’s a picture of the shy trio all together. Someone obviously has their back turned towards the middle one.
They’re all 100% greenstuff. Basically a ball with a mouth, so nothing revolutionary, but still.
